This model consortium agreement was drawn up by the European Automotive Research and Development Council and is used by EUCAR and other bodies in the area of EU-funded projects. www.eucar.be/ three joint technology initiatives (JTI) – Clean Sky 2, ECSEL and the Innovation Medicines Initiative (IMI) 2 – offer on their websites their own consortium agreement for supported project models. One of the reasons for these models is the partial diversity of ICT provisions. B regarding IMI 2`s intellectual property rights. Model consortium agreements for MSCA-ITN are also available for the first time under the Horizon 2020 programme. We will hold a hands-on workshop on consortium agreements for H2020 projects, where participants will work in groups on different case studies to discuss how to develop an effective consortium agreement.
For this exercise, we will introduce different real-world scenarios with problematic and difficult situations in H2020 projects, such as conflicts over IPR and operating issues, differences of opinion on dissemination and publications, delays and quality issues in reporting and results, risks to financial management and other budgetary problems. As part of the presentation of a workshop leader, participants will discuss appropriate procedures, management structures and specific clauses and attempt to establish a consortium agreement to effectively address these situations. Issues of confidentiality and commitment in the H2020 proposals. Roles of partners, operating interests and the spiritual interest of partners. Agreements on the pre-proposal and proposal phase: declarations of intent (LoI), letters of commitment (LoC), Memorandums of Understanding (PROTOCOLE), confidentiality agreements (NDA), draft consortium agreements. When a project requires the signing of a consortium agreement, the document should explain: learn the options for formal and informal agreements between H2020 beneficiaries in the various phases of an H2020 project, from the pre- and proposal phase to the signing of the grant contract. Financial statements, IPR management and the dissemination of results, options for dealing with decision-making processes and management structures, financial and budgetary issues, risk management and conflict resolution mechanisms, and IPR and operating issues in consortium agreements. Compare model consortium agreements such as DESCA 2020, EUCAR and MCARD-2020, as well as other support structures. As we have said, a partnership under H2020 does not mean outsourcing. On the one hand, a partner takes a risk by investing in the project in order to exploit the benefits of positive results in the future.
