Sheldon: In accordance with the colocation agreement, paragraph 9, subsection B, the right to privacy in the bathroom is suspended in case of force majeure. And believe me, I`m living a force majeure. The error occurred in the fifth episode of the season, titled The Flaming Spittoon Acquisition (episode 10). Sheldon: If Leonard doesn`t sign the new deal within 41 seconds, this computer will send an email to your parents in India saying you`re in a secret relationship with the whiter flaum than the Leonard Hofstadter marshmallow. In normal terms, this is Sheldon`s way of explaining that fraud is not allowed. Since humans and primates love monogamous relationships, according to research, Sheldon and Amy must engage in the name of science and publish work on the subject later. However, an eagle-eyed fan pointed out a fairly clear plot hole with the couple`s relationship. The contract says Sheldon must “take Amy to a nice restaurant and have casual physical contact that unin interested viewers would scoff at privacy.” A slight touch to the hand is enough to make Amy`s engine buzz! The contract was about thirty pages long and had to be signed by both parties. He defined everything that both people considered acceptable and unacceptable and what the consequences of his breakup would be. And while we don`t have the 30 pages, we do have 10 of the best points from Shamy`s contract. But that`s no surprise.
It is in the relational contract that they must “cover the whole body and show only the hands, head and neck”. If Sheldon or Amy break their dress code (which is only decided by Sheldon and Sheldon), they can`t see Star Wars or Star Trek and can`t play The Xbox. In An to the Way They Dress, Article II also states that the couple doesn`t need to feel “nothing.” In many relationships, this is actually a kind of obvious one. The relationship agreement states that everyone must take care of the other while they are sick, but what a terrible relationship would it be if they weren`t? Admittedly, it may take a little more effort for Amy, because Sheldon is so painful when he`s sick that his friends will literally run around and hide so they don`t have to deal with him. But taking care of the person you love — and making sure they know it`s expected — is definitely a good step for every couple. My roommate deal with Leonard has been cancelled for the most part, which makes me uncomfortable with life in this apartment. Sheldon: Oh, well, you`re at the top. I`ve written a new and improved colocation agreement that I can make a big profit from. I want you to sign it. I believe this episode was not only the funniest of the series (so far), but also the best that was written/executed.
I watch it again and again when it`s rebroadcast. If you`ve seen the episodes that led to “this” episode in order, you should have recognized the “Lead Ins” to the jokes (i.e. Amy`s previous mention that she was working with monkey and lung diseases). The scenes intertwine perfectly, and while there are 2 main channels (scenes with Leonard and Pria and those with Sheldon and Amy), they end up combining for the hilarious finale (although only Sheldon is in both parts of the final scenes and glues them together). The characters Sheldon and Amy always play him “straight” and serious, even if the results are the funniest of the episode. And they must believe that “all” are not parties with the CGI monkey. It`s clear that Shamy was only meant for that – but that doesn`t mean it`s always easy to be in a relationship with Sheldon Cooper.
